YSU Council Secretary

David Hayrapetyan was born in 1982 in Yerevan. He received his education at YSU Faculty of Philosophy Sociology and Psychology (1998-2004, diploma with excellence, master of arts).

He was an industrious and socially active student. David was the Chairman of faculty Student Scientific Society and Hovhan Vorotnetsi scholarship holder in 2000-2002.

In 2007 he defended his thesis and was awarded the academic title of the Candidate of Psychology in the area of Theory and History of Psychology. His professional experience started in 2002 when he worked at YSU Educational-methodological department. In 2004 he was appointed Head of Student Affairs Department. In 2006 he was elected YSU Council Secretary and is YSU Rector’s Assistant beginning with 2006.

Beginning with 2002 David Hayrapetyan is YSU Graduate Union member and 2005- YSUGU President Adviser.

Beginning with 2007 he is an assistant at YSU Chair of General Psychology. He delivers lectures in three different master courses. He ahs participated in many regional and international conferences, presented reports. His academic interests’ area covers the cognitive processes and economic psychology.

He is the member of a number of prestigious international organizations in the field of psychology, with American Psychological Association and Russian Psychological Association among them.
He was awarded YSU Silver (2002) and Gold (2009) medals.

He is the author of four education-methodological manual and more than 30 articles.
